Works best if your server allows query strings to be indexed normally.
How it works (simple model)
Formula
Fee = (gross × % fee) + fixed fee
Net = gross − fee
Charge to receive = (target net + fixed fee) ÷ (1 − % fee)
What this ignores
FX conversion, cross-border fees, chargebacks, and tiered pricing. Use this as a quick estimate.
Always verify official pricing details on your provider’s website. Example: Stripe pricing
Next step
Pair this with your pricing and invoicing flow: invoicing systems and getting paid online (US).
Examples (quick)
Freelancer invoice
If you charge $500 with 2.9% + $0.30, fees are about $14.80 and net is about $485.20.
Charge to receive
If you want to receive $100 net with 2.9% + $0.30, you should charge about $103.30.
Compare two options
Change presets and watch the effective fee rate. That number is what really impacts pricing.
